Houston Classical Charter School Raises $1.1 Million at Foundational Dinner to Expand Campus and Support Students

Houston Classical Charter School recently hosted its Foundational Dinner at Masraff’s, raising $1.1 million to support campus expansion and staff additions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Generous contributions from donors, including Adrienne & Snehal Amin, Claire & Joe Greenberg, and others, helped fund the initiative. Co-chaired by Jessica Leeke and Dr. Julie Kuo, the event featured testimonials from education leaders and a speech by Founder and CEO Deyvis Salazar, who highlighted the school’s structured curriculum focused on foundation, facts, and meaning. Located in Alief, HCCS offers free education to K-3 students, with plans to expand to K-8, serving a student population where 80% of families live below the poverty line. Supported by major foundations, the school aims to equip students with the academic and social skills needed for college and lifelong success.
