Create an Account

Create an account. This should take less than 10 minutes. You will receive an email confirmation once your account is setup.

Fill Out Your Application

Complete the guided step-by-step online application. You can save an application in process, then return later to complete. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Don't worry, we'll send you reminders.

Application Processing

Applications are reviewed by the enrollment team on a first-come, first-served basis. An application is not considered complete until ALL STUDENT RECORDS have been received. Acceptance is subject to program capacity and when there are more applications than seats available, a lottery will be run in March to select and place scholars.

Houston Classical Enrollment FAQs

  • The application process is quick and easy. Begin by creating an account. Then complete the step-by-step application. Submit the required student information online, in person, or by mail. You will be notified as to whether your application has been accepted.

  • Scholars are admitted in the order in which they submit enrollment forms. If we have more enrollment forms than spots, admission will be decided by random lottery.

  • Yes. We give priority to applications from families that already have a sibling in attendance at Houston Classical.

  • If we are oversubscribed, our lottery will take place in March. Families will be contacted, via email and phone call within 24 hours of our lottery.

  • Yes, HCCS scholars must be in full uniform at all school functions and on every school day.

  • Once your application is completed and all required student documents have been submitted, applications are reviewed by the enrollment team for accuracy and completeness. You will be notified of acceptance or wait-listing within 24 hours of the lottery.

  • No. Because we believe in removing barriers to quality education, we provide instruction and education at no cost to the students and families. There is no fee to apply and no fee to attend.

  • SchoolMint is an online enrollment and communication platform working with public, charters, and private schools to make the enrollment process for parents easier and faster.

    SchoolMint offers different options so parents can apply and register with a computer or mobile device. Parents can upload student documents, check application status, and even select the method in which they prefer to receive their communications - by email or text.

    HCCS uses this enrollment software to ensure security and a timely response to your application.

  • We are currently accepting for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st to 4th grades. We will expand one grade every year so that eventually we will grow to K through 8th grade.

  • Yes, we welcome English language learners. We believe our focus on literacy will especially benefit our scholars who are English language learners.
